Tomi Lahren Interview Proves Leftists Are Hypocrites
I’ve had my fair share of internet trolls. Back when I was in university, I wrote an article about how my hometown is a corrupt scar on the Welsh countryside. I wasn’t wrong -- the local council-monsters were, and still are, scum. After hearing that my life-changing local bar, Noah’s Yard, was the only establishment to be shut down during COVID, despite following all rules, I am even more thrilled that I (a) wrote the article Swansea: the worst hometown ever, and (b) that I worked my arse off and got the heck out of there the moment I graduated university. If you’re still stuck there and are hating the council as much as I am, let me know and I’ll back absolutely anyone looking to replace them!
Now, I live in Los Angeles. I would not defend a single thing about Los Angeles -- it used to be great, but after five years of living in this airless, angry, insecure Southern California megalopolis, I am ready to leave and build my home and pay my taxes in any other great American state and never come back here--not even for vacation. Part of my professional and personal reasons for moving have been inspired by the likes of Ben Shapiro, Tomi Lahren, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk and the other thought leaders leaving the state. I also want to leave because in over five years of living in this town, I’ve come to realize that very few people in my social circle ever had an interest in being my friend, being anyone’s friend, or doing anything for anyone else--they are all to busy taking selfies, checking their IG stories, and social climbing until they couldn’t keep up. Most of them don’t even pronounce my name correctly, but claim to love me and be inspired by my work (until I stop saying things they like or understand). The narcissism that defines this town has turned the sky yellow, the streets to an open-air mental health facility and sewer. Most folks who would consider me a friend are too busy trying to police other people’s thoughts and feelings to make any real improvements as a team. They’re screaming into the void instead of listening and learning about those around them, and wonder why I’m not returning their calls.
In these short posts, I’m going to start venting and commentating on the decline in lived experience that has defined the last five years of California, as well as addressing some significant social issues that seem to be missing any common sense solutions. I’m going to call out the extremist liberal agenda for the hypocrisy it perpetuates, and maybe even drop a few dishy bits of insider information here and there to get your blood really pumping. I spend all day, every day, turning academics across the US into Doctor of Science with my consultancy work with PhD candidates, so I have a fair few datasets available that’ll show us how to fix some of this shit… I just don’t know if any of you are capable of listening enough to make a difference, and after my social media experience this weekend, I have even less hope for the left ever being able to meet the right in the middle and have an adult conversation.
Last week, I achieved a personal goal I’ve held for most of my adult life -- I interviewed Tomi Lahren. Upon promoting the show on social media, I had more people call and text and DM me calling me a slut, whore, idiot, shit person, monster, and had nothing but hate from the liberal side of the American spectrum. From people on the right, no one really seemed to care. Less than 1% of my followers and friends and family had something positive to say -- and even then, it was “I don’t like her work, but good for you for interviewing her.”
To which I responded, “what about her work do you not like?”
Not a single person responded to this question, which proves that none of them have enough data to even make an opinion about Tomi Lahren; I would bet my own money that most of them couldn’t spell her name correctly if asked. What was even funnier was the number of people who said, “I HATED LISTENING TO THIS. YOU’RE GOING TO THE DARK SIDE!”
The interview hadn’t aired yet…
Hypocrisy is killing the left, and it’s really embarrassing to watch. This is the side of the spectrum who claims to be open-minded, loving, caring, supportive. Yet, they’re burning down cities and can’t even fathom a conversation with someone from the other side of politics, exemplifying the hypocrisy of their leaders. They can’t even let a totally bipartisan political commentator and social science expert speak to someone on the right… so tell me, leftists, how the fuck are we going to fix everything if you keep screaming at the other side, burning down their towns and businesses, and literally can’t pull your educational levels up to engage in a conversation?
I would love to interview anyone from the far political left on my KABC show, so if you’re interested, get in touch! I’ve already tried about five billion ways to get Hasan Piker to counterbalance the conversation with Tomi Lahren, and have yet to receive a response. If you think you’re up for the challenge of finding common ground in the political catastrophe that is 2020, let me know. My only purpose is to prove that despite our political differences, facts are facts, and we are all capable of putting our opinions to one-side and finding a way to get along.
